Balé Folclórico da Bahia perfectly exemplifies the exuberant cultural traditions and vibrancy of Brazil. The 38 dancers, musicians and singers perform a spectacular repertory based on "Bahian" folkloric dances of African origin including slave dances, capoeira (Afro-Brazilian martial arts), samba, and dances celebrating Carnival. For the first time in over a decade, Balé Folclórico da Bahia will be performing on the Cobb Great Hall Stage on October 27, 2013 at 7:00 PM.
